Parkinson's may soon be treated with blood pressure drug
very interesting thank you
Interesting. So, one cause of PD is oxidative stress on the cell which is why NAC helps PD patients. B1 supports the cell engery center of which is also why it helps PWP.
Also since the drug affects the calcium channels, seems like calcium not getting to the bones but into soft tissue is the stresser. K2 would help minimize this.
B1, K2 and NAC is going in my list. My dad with PD is already on K2 and B1. Need to add NAC to it. Stop calcium?
The pieces are coming together!

Perhaps you will consider it pertinent, perhaps not.
For my opinion and practical experience, taking thiamina one should also take many minerals eating vegetables and fresh fruit, which is the best way , and drink a lot.
It will seem an idiot and simple thing to say, but for me it is so.

MWLE, how much K2 is he taking?
NWLE
Please be aware that vitamin D3, K2 and Magnesium should be in balance for the calcium to sit in places really needed. Plus the study doesn’t say people with PD have hypercalcemia , its explains correlation between calcium channels and PD.
Correct Kia17. I believe Boron is also needed if I remember correctly. I hope people have enough diversity in their diet that they don't need to supplement D3, Magnesium and Boron.
Remember vitamin D is another one of those fat soluble vitamins like vitamin k (K1 and K2), A, and E. Sources of K2 include eggs.
Add 3 eggs into a salad increase vitamin E absorption 4-7 times higher than without it.
