Any one tried the above;some say it slows progress of pd ?
Ubiquinol: Any one tried the above;some say... - Cure Parkinson's
Ubiquinol
I've been on it for years for cardio reasons..as a preventative to congestive heart prob which run in my family. I don't really know if it benefited my PD. It helps my cardio stamina though.
Neuro at Mayo suggested that my PD husband would take it. I think it does halt progression.
Ubiquinol does not halt PD. michaeljfox.org/mobile/news...
I have been taking the quickly/easily ingested Qunol (as an antidote to Lipitor: I think it DOES prevent major leg muscle aches) for 5-10 years and I can't believe it ever did anything to halt my PD. Which was suggested by my GP about 2 years ago based on toe-walking (and my grand mother dying of it) and actual diagnosis last December when minor back/hip joint/leg pain and left hand shaking started.
I started 25mg Sinemet in December and seleginine end-January, and pretty much all the symptoms went away. As they don't come back even when I forget to take the Sinemet, my docs are wondering if I actually have parkinsonism! [Whatever that is]
But what can be easily concluded is that the Qunol didn't do anything
I take a co q10 / pqq combo. I believe that long term it helps with fatigue. Ive been taking it about a year. Although ive been thinking about stopping all supplements except for fish oil, vit c, amino acids and b vitamins.
