I’m taking pramipexole for young onset PD. I’m 34 and planning to conceive. I know that there’s a risk. Any suggestions?

Pramipexole and pregnancy
Hi,
I don’t usually comment on posts here but I thought I would tell tou my story quickly. Of course you know your own situation. I already had my two kids when diagnosed with yopd in 2011. Luckily progression has been pretty slow. I am still able to work about 30 hours a week. My husband if 20 years left me in 2015. My son is in his 2nd year in University and I have soke custody of my 14 year okd daughter. I don’t receive a lot of financial support from the ex who is 100% entirely a different person than I had thought for so many years. I don’t have family near by and friends are helpful but also are busy with their own children. I was on pramipexole when my husband left although I don’t think it was due to behavioural changes from the drug or not I do feel that the problem with the drug is people do what they want regardless of their moral opinion on whatever behaviour it is. Whether it is gambling or sex or like me just a lack of continuing on with housewife perfectionism that I had strived for over the years. I have no knowledge on how this type of drug affects a pregnancy but I think you need to be aware of how this disease can affect your relationships as well as the fact that progression is highly unpredictable. You may need to support your child yourself in future years. I hope you have a lot of stable family and support. Good luck.
