Doc Costantini's recommend: “For your situation 1 intramuscular injection twice a week (or an oral dose of 4 grams each day, two tablets in the morning and two at lunch time) should bring to the complete regression of the symptoms in 1 or 2 months.”----

if you have seen something credible to the contrary please link.

park bear,

Did you mean to say, "two tablets in the morning and two at lunch time" or did you mean to say 4 tablets in the morning and 4 tablets at lunch time?

The tablets and capsules are only 500 mg each so 4 capsules or tablets would be 2 grams and 8 capsules or tablets would be 4 grams.

The quoted passage did not come from me and seemingly refers to 1 gram tablets.

Yes you are correct for 500 mg capsules would be 4 at a time, not 2.

I emailed Dr. Costantini and gave him my age, weight and sex. He based dosage on the information. Said to get back to him in a month to evaluate any changes that might need to be made.

according to my experience :The thiamine hcl for injections is sold in vials of 50mg, 100mg for other purposes, such as the cure of beri-beri , and also solves problems related to alcohol, its use is very well known by doctors for many and many years , it is not a new. In some countries in Europe, thiamine injections do not need a prescription like in Germany or Spain, while in Italy it takes, (the mysteries of the European bureaucracy).

The tablets depend on the capacity of the gut to absorb thiamine hcl, so the dose should be adjusted in a slightly personalized manner. Intramuscular absorption is much higher and more comfortable than swallowing tablets, but in many countries you must have the recipe and it is not easy, depend what think about your doc. However thiamine hcl which is water-soluble in the body lasts a short time and perhaps this is its strong point compared to other forms of thiamine for long-term use. I did 2/3 injections intra muscolare, a week for three years (Thiamine hcl 100mg) without problems, every now and then I jump a week when I feel it is too much, (symptom: a little too awake in the evening) Then after a while you experience, of course with the doctor who explains things to you is easier and you are quieter. Ask your doc or pharmacist about side effects and so you know, or read paper about thiamine Hcl , remember hcl , water soluble..That is the most communal forma of thiamine.
