Why it is unlikely to find a drug for all PD patients

Although Professor Peter Jenner in this video tries to be optimistic, reality leaves little room for that. Why?

Parkinson's is a multifactorial disease. Every PD patient is unique. If a treatment is good for me, chances are it won't be as good for you.

We are alone in the struggle against PD. This might be disappointing but it can be deliberating at the same time. It means everyone of us must take responsibility for his own health.

PD patients who reversed the progress of their illness had one thing in common: Persistence. So, we need to be alert, open to trying new things and never lose faith.
