i never heard of it if it was helpful with pd most of us would have heard of it by now..but then again who knows, regards.
Thanks for reply. Was prescribed for left arm tremor in the UK?
We administer it, as RN’s in the large hospital I work in, along with other anticholinergics ( cogentin ) by doctors orders usually for help when Parkinsonion’s symptoms (not Parkinson’s) that appear, drooling; muscle rigidly, resulting from taking psych meds over a period of time.
As with any western med proceed with caution!!! Sometimes things help in the beginning with symptom relief but can end up (like self-medicating with ETOH) with later side effects and or issues down the way. I take Azilect 1 mg P.O. daily per my Neuro’s order, but only after reading up and finding out absolutely everything I could about it using the amazing ‘snopeing’ ability of scholar.google.com.
Too, be careful of anything with multi level marketing smoke and mirror statements attached to a supposed ‘cure’ also. Snopes it out! Google Scholar is the only site that allows you to compare the peer reviewed success or lack of for virtually any pro-ported cure.
If you have a friend in the medical profession or has taken Latin or better Greek language have them help you sleuth the more difficult parts of the studies, but the results usually aren’t hard to comprehend.
Thanks for forebearing any typo’s or my Snopes neologisms. Hope I have helped somewhat here in lifting the mystery and fog concerning this issue.

hi, I have been a part of this community for years and this is my first time writing. I felt compelled to because I have been taking trihexyphenidyl for approx. 4 years and it has been great for me. It is the only med I have found to help me...it has helped with mood, anxiety, constipation, tremor, stress...allowing me to work. It is the only med I take. My neuro has prescribed several other meds but I felt worse on them, so I remain on trihex alone.
I hope this is helpful.
