Hello, I have early PD and taking pramipex 0.75 since 4 months. I have swollen ankles and gained some weight along with body ache- suspect this is side effect of Pramipex.
Is it appropriate to stop / reduce the dosage without consulting Neuro?
Generally Neuros don’t allow to stop or reduce a medicine.
Thanks

Pramipex is Generic Mirapex. It is dangerous and very addictive (search DAWS). YOU CANNOT "TAPER OFF". You are experiencing known side effects (SEARCH MIRAPEX side effects). It will likelyget worse over time.
Granted it is dangerous and very addictive. If you are saying he cannot get off it, many others have done so. If you are not saying that, what are you trying to tell us?
I had bad side effects from Miraplex also. This medication was gradually reduced under my neuro’s supervision. We reduced the dosage little by little. When finally off the medication my symptoms disappeared. If you are having a bad reaction to any medication doctors will address the issue.
well when ever I stop taking pills I take one every other day.some times I just stop taking them nothing happens I asked my doctor once what shall I do,he said just don't take anymore, but its your choice as different doctors will tell u different things.i once paid 400 dollars to a specialist who told me there was nothing he could..it lasted 15 mins,,25000 dollars to get stem cell treatment,,that helped a lot..but it don't cure it,,
