essential Tremor

Hi,I know this is for pd but my friend has severe essential tremor does anyone know anything that would help this type of tremor.

I have Pd and I was told by my neurologist that my tremor is essential tremor, which is different to 'resting tremor'. It affects fine-motor movements more than anything else. Please read my profile for more information, if you are interested.

Propranolol is a beta blocker that is taken for essential tremors.

Propranolol (Inderal) works extremely well for me, but it will lower your blood pressure considerably, so I only take it once a week or so, usually when in the public eye. 10 mg

It will also lower your heart rate . I was taking three a day and could barely function so went down to one a day and still had a heart rate in the 40s.

Dr. Costantini, recently posted a new paper on PubMed that shows that two of his essential tremor patients that he treated with thiamine saw significant improvement.
