I know that some of the Parkinson's people live in nursing homes. Some of us are on a lot of different medications, hopefully there's somebody in our lives that can advocate for us.

Thanks for that informative and scary article. A must read for PWP partners too.
Horrifying.
After what my Dad went through in several nursing homes, a couple of which were supposed to be well qualified, I never ever want to end up in a nursing home. I’ve told my family this. Because I have PD that is advancing, and my age is going against me, I may end up in one of those “scary” places, whether I like it or not! I try not to think of that, because it was a nightmare for me and my Dad and our family, and I’m afraid it would end up being a nightmare for me, too! People in nursing homes definitely need advocates, and it’s important that those advocates check on the patients unannounced, so that they can assess what’s really going on in the care of the patient. That’s all I’m going to say! I could write a book on what wrongs were done to my father, when he was in nursing home care!!
I'm very sorry, I'm scared too
My deteriorations have me looking at nursing home options. Scary, indeed.
