Im suppose to take one 25/100 car.levo three times a day ..i tried...makes me sick in my stomach and does nothing for my hand tremor..so i tried 1/2 three times a day ...it does nothing for the tremor either. So???

You could ask your dr. if you could go with the lower dosage and add Propranolol as needed for tremors. It works for me. It also helps if you can determine that you have certain triggers that cause tremors. My triggers are mostly being cold, but also stress or physical exhaustion. If you find that you have triggers you may be able to avoid them.

This may not work for everybody, but if you are prepared to give this a try, it may help you. It costs nothing and will improve your general health. Look at my profile on this HU and then look at my website. I have not needed to take any Pd medication since 2002 and I have managed to live a normal life also.

The carbidopa is supposed to help with nausea, so my doctor advised against cutting the dose in half. He also switched me to extended release Sinemet so I am getting a smaller but more constant dose. Somewhere on this site someone recommended taking it on an empty stomach either 1hour before a meal or 2-3 hours after eating and when I tried that, the nausea stopped. Hope you find some relief because that nausea is a terrible feeling.

I was on the same dosage, and had the same results - extreme nausea, and no improvement in the tremors. My neurologist/MDS said it doesn't work for everyone so we'll try something else.

This used to happen to me as well. The nausea was miserable. But I changed two things. First, I made sure I ate something so my stomach was not completely empty b4 I took Sinemet. And second my doctor prescribed Lodosyn, which is essentially carbidopa by itself. Good luck!
