Lost in the dark

I fell out of bed in the dark not knowing even what part of the room I was in.

Won't happen again. Found a "make it yourself" sound switch" Clap your hands or say something and a bed or similar light comes on.

Wouldn't be without it

That’s why I must have a night light on! I’ve fallen out of bed a couple times.

I’ve bought movement sensor lights one by the bed one in the ensuite so slight movement activities them , battery operated. Leaving a light on Keith both of us awake . They only remain on for 20 seconds but literally an arm movement will turn them back on 😀

My husband uses a bed cane (from Amazon.com) which keeps him from falling out of bed, and also helps him get in and out of bed. Check it out to see if it would help you.
