Just found this article on page 40 of 10/2/2017 National Enquirer. The drug, nortriptyline, which has been used to treat depression and nerve pain, stopped the growth of abnormal proteins that can build up in the brain and lead to the development of the disease [Parkinson's]. Their 1st trial was with rats; the next will be with humans but: it is already approved as an anti-depressant so hopefully you could get an Rx for the drug with an eye toward attacking Parkinson's disease.
