I am wondering how many caregivers have noticed a tendency in their PD spouse/friend, etc. to make impulsive moves? My husband likes to make what I call "jack rabbit" movements. He suddenly leaps out of a chair and falls.

Poor impulse control
Yes impulse moves, do you mean like I am trying to start the coffee maker, something I have done for last 25 years. I am having problems focusing this one particular morning and I can't figure out how to set it. So my wife starts hitting buttons and I start hitting buttons and out of no ware I slapped the back of her hand. I was just amazed as she was slapping the back of a hand like you would a small child. I apologized and asked her did I just slap the back of your hand?
Sometimes. Remote control for tv is getting to be a "trigger" for him. He loves, loves, loves the tv and gets confused with buttons.
I am more concerned with falling forward due to sudden forward movement. Have a few walkers, but they are of no use. He will spring out if a chair and start "running" - hence falling forward d. Also you can also almost read his mind, "there's a chair, I need to run to it".
