A friend shared this with me and I thought it worth sharing with the community. A fun therapy! This is my first post -- thanks for all who share on this website, I've found so much helpful information.

We used to do this as a team building exercise at staff training days. It is amazing how together you can make beautiful music. They also had healing drum sessions in some of the parks during the summer months. It was awesome drumming on the beach. My husband found it too noisy. He is very sensitive to sounds due to a hearing problem. I would recommend it. It leaves one feeling really good.

I am intrigued since I am in Montevideo, Uruguay during Carnival and drumming will be occurring all thru February. Not sure how to get involved in a circle here but finding a drum shouldn't be too difficult.

That sounds exciting. If you're able to do some drumming let us know how it was!

I have a drum kit and playing it helps, definitely! Hard to play fast on the bass drum and ride cymbal for me due to freezing somewhat
