My husband is going in for dbs in march at Ucsf. Dr said he would be in the hospital only 2-3 days. He is 70

Hi Anking, I had the surgery last April. I was there overnight only for part one (the wires inserted into the brain). The following week it was out-patient surgery to install the battery pack in the chest near the collarbone. I am 66.

I had my surgery done at UCSF back in May 2014. I had to say 2 nights for recovery. Make sure that they put him in a room with a view. The view from my hospital room was hard to beat...overlooking the coastal hills of San Francisco.
