Article regarding a cause of Parkinson's-NYT
Pesticides! At least it is easy to find out that paraquat is poisonous - just google paraquat toxicity. Unfortunately pyrethroids are just as bad if not worse for causing Parkinson's. I believe that is how I got mine. Yet if you google pyrethroid toxicity it will tell you toxicity is *low*. Pyrethroids are in home insecticide foggers, commonly referred to as "flea bombs". Details here: tinyurl.com/zjrxe49
Degree of exposure is high: "Traces of at least one pyrethroid metabolite were found in 75 percent of the people tested in 2001-2002 " environmentalhealthnews.org...
Yet even this thorough article does not mention Parkinson's. The danger is very real and little known.
I have conversed with an amazing amount, including myself that know how they contracted PD. Whether it is human character trait or just need to blame, these people are "dead certain" what has caused their disease.
I think it would be interesting to compile all these peoples ideas into a "blame this" book of sorts......... might be one to something here ....... hmmmmm.....
Regardless of what I personally think is the cause of my case, there is stat sig evidence linking pyrethroids to Parkinson's. Anyone using pyrethroid insecticides in their home ought to know this, rather than that they are "low toxicity". Do you have a problem with that?
Also, I did not say I was "dead certain". I said "I *believe* that is how I got mine." I used the word "believe" to indicate it is a personal belief and it is not proven.
I think it would be "interesting" to understand the motivation behind your post.
