Faecal Antibiotics in Russia : A Horizon documentary many years ago also featured a Hospital in Georgia, Russia, where they were using faecal matter from the Hospital sewer outlet to make their own antibiotic, I think it was called something like Fage. It worked so well an American company went to Georgia to buy the patent. Georgia refused and its never been heard of since. A British Vet was shown using a similar method of treating his animals. I'd love to know if they still use the same method in Georgia and what became of the vet.

"While Dr. Thomas Borody was experimenting with patients who were afflicted by both CDI and Parkinson's disease, he realized that after fecal therapy the symptoms of Parkinson's in his patients began to decrease; some to the point that the Parkinson's could not be detected by other neurologists."

sorry new here and just saw this, the FDA will not even letting the doctors give FM Transplants unless its C. Diff and resistant to antibiotics ! !

The same FDA that is not approving a safe 30 year old treatment that puts a STOP to PD, GM1

Since when did the FDA stop private enterprise. I thought if you pay for it you can get anything in the US? Am I wrong there, so its not possible to get this treatment in the states?

And so What's this 30 yr tx that stops PD? How come the rest of the world doesnt know about it?

That is what that FT foundation says on their site, don't call us unless you have C Diff resistant to antibiotics, FM is considered a drug by the FDA.

The PD medicine that worked well to stop PD is called GM1 ganglioside.

It is a very sad story and I am frustrated to find out the details.

Works as good as Nilotinib but GM1 has gone through Phase 2 for PD !

It was widely used in Europe for neuropathy, and made by an Italian company called Fidia. Mad Cow scare put an end to that.

Now there is a company in the USA trying to bring it back from sheep source, so safe that the Vet running the operation is feeding his kids the lamb meat used to make GM 1.

Wrote to the MJ FOX Foundation on WHY their are not funding such proven product. The politics in drug land stinks to high heaven !

Watched a video on youtube that the Vet gave a presentation about making it to other farmers, but hard to find again, youtube search comes back empty.

Here's the us company that is working to bring it back:

I asked my GP about faecal transplants/frozen poop pills about a year ago and he'd never heard of it. In fact he laughed at me

Look at the recent research publication by Sarkis K. Mazmanian from CalTech. For example here :

It seems to strongly validate the theory behind FMT.
