In response to Theresa's question, my creative outlet is quilting. I stick to crib quilts, twin size or wall hangings now as it strains to bend over a double, let alone a king

My husband is the one with PD and he's a working artist. He's 69, one year diagnosed (though I am sure he has had it quite a while) & it has not diminished his creativity a bit. In fact he is as prolific as ever. Loading up painting & sculptures, racks, tent, setting up shows - yes, that is harder. Computer work needed - yes - harder. But, thank God he has the spark and the will to do what feeds his soul.

Wow, that is a lot of work. It's great to hear PD hasn't stemmed his creative flow!

Wow! So impressive. I have a problem focusing and concentration so exercise and reading are my main activities. Between doing ,3 or 4 hours of exercise, shopping, cooking, travel to see grandchildren and reading, days go by quickly. Also husband and friends.

This is BEAUTIFUL Becky!!! When my first boy was born (44 years ago) a friend of brother-in-law made me a quilt something like that only the color scheme was red and yellow and I loved it so that I had it as a decoration on the wall instead of using it as a blanket. It takes a lot of talent to do this.

Thank you! I sort of adapt each quilt to each baby. Like, I made one for an interracial couple in which mom was Italian and dad was black from the American south. I looked at pictures of the old slave quilts and tried to integrate the patterns, which were wild and eclectic. It was hard. I felt so prim and constrained!

Beckey - that is truly awesome! I wonder if my left hand would cooperate so that I can pick up quilting too. Cheers!

Thank you! I can't believe I can still do it. My tremor is off the charts but I can still thread a needle! I know it won't last forever.

I still paint with my tremors. I find as soon as I put the brush to the canvas my tremor calms down. I think it is because I don't have what is called action tremors. My tremors act up while I'm relaxing, they are resting tremors. I know some people have both.
