Hi Noonie. Do you have Pd. and are you on Selegiline or Rasgiline? If so, that could be the cause of your high blood pressure. These drugs raise the body's Tyramine levels, which raises the blood pressure.

Noonie, when my PD medications wear off, I will sometimes feel intense pressure in different parts of my body, especially in the summer and fall when there is high pollen and high mold where I live. (I will also get it in my stomach any time of the year if I eat too much food at any one time.) I get the pressure in the back of my head, back of my neck, sinuses, chest, and stomach. And, yes, it is miserable! I've found that the only thing that helps me at those times is to sit in a comfortable chair with my feet up, close my eyes, and g-e-n-t-l-y and slowly massage my head, neck, face, chest, stomach - whatever is feeling the discomfort. (I do this with my hands - no electric massagers, they wouldn't be relaxing.) I also relax my lungs at the same time just by focusing on my breath. All this helps both immediately and in the long term - in other words, it seems to have a cumulative effect - the more I do it the fewer of these episodes I have.

I hope you find relief.

Heart song is correct , Sit and try doing some slow breathing exercising . It might take a you a while to get to do them properly but do persevere .

It will help to relax those muscles ..Maybe then you could try , if able , to do some gentle stretching exercises .

PArkinsons affects the posture long before you are aware and the body sort of collapses so presses on the other organs which can make it harder to breath and cause nerve pain .

Noonie are you on any Parkinson medication? How long have you had PD?

No I'm not not sure what that is

I can tell you that Erythritol which is the main ingredient I Truvia (not Stevia!) and also found in Zero Water to just to name a few, causes me both neck and shoulder pains. I never would have suspected it if I had t come across it on line by accident. Sure enough the muscle spasms stopped after not ingesting it for 36 hours. Scary how pain can be caused by the foods we eat!

Noonie this is a Parkinson Disease PD forum so all the responses you get will be from people describing BP and their PD problems. Not sure if that is what you want.
