My experience, after I finished the requested survey, dropped into Survey Monkey create a survey. Had to erase the website to escape. My using their system to produce surveys is clearly to their interest. I had no choice, was dumped into their system.

BillDavid,

There's really no harm in it. As I remember from a survey I created with them a few years ago, Survey Monkey allows anyone to make a limited number of surveys for free. The promotion is their way of supporting this free service they so generously offer. Most folks accept the ads which make television, radio, and internet sites free for us, and newspapers much cheaper, so why should we bridle at this little bit of self-promotion by Survey Monkey? And it comes inobtrusively at the very end, where it does not interrupt the flow of the survey.

It was as I see it an unobtrusive add at the very end ..I have no issue with that

The young lady who is doing the research had to use some kind of survey mechanism to contact us. People who run survey websites have to make a living some way. Their advertisement was at the end and unobtrusive. (If you sold an item, you would certainly put your contact information on it in case people wanted to contact you to buy more of your item.)

However, I think I can understand your position. "Beat Parkinson's" certainly got your hopes up. "Purchase Survey Monkey services" then felt a little commercial and crass, even manipulative. However, if we pay the most attention to what this young lady is doing, everything gets put into perspective.
