why do posts go missing or replies to posts go missing?

i am trying to work out why my replies to posts go missing and cannot work it out with the computer

can anyone enlighten me plz??

Something is failing on the site for sure. I guess we had better contact an administrator. This site is too valuable to lose! Easterncedar

Jillann, this post appeared in the Parkinson's community. Is there any chance you have accidentally been writing here when you meant to be in the psp site? Check your community in the drop down list on the top of the page. Easterncedar

Hi Jill,

Quite often its because you have 2 or more tabs or windows open on the HU site. If you add a post using one of them then a little while later tidy up by deleting some tabs or windows then one of them may well be the window with your latest post. When later you leave the HU website altogether the last window/tab closed will be the one that is stored and you may be storing the window/tab without your latest post in it.

So make sure that the last tab/window that you are using to browse HU is the one with your latest posts or edits to posts and so on.

Having deleted the post yourself on a deleted tab, you wont be able to recover that post but at least you will know what happened.

Looking again at this I'm not sure that I have the full picture. It may be that is is not correct or there may be other factors that I have yet to include. I may look further into this if I feel the urge.

Or, If by accident you select a whole post (blue background and white text then the next character key you press will replace all of your selected text with that character.
