Marion, the article in the link you gave is 5 months old. Although the article from 1/8/15 doesn't mention anything about the problems, I would think that they have all been resolved or the FDA would not have given the go ahead.

what's rytary and what is it for?

RYTARY is an extended release levadopa. Crystals in it release at different times so it's supposed to work more uniformly without causing diskinesia.

Hi! I'm new here. This is really interesting. Does it have carbidopa in it? I need to take extra carbidopa with my carbidopa/levodopa for nausea. No dyskinesia or less dyskinesa? Curious. Thanks!

I have been on rytary 2 weeks. Not sure if I love or hate it, I also have serious festination (small steps and falling) since trying it. Not sure if I had them before the drug

Has anyone figured out the right dosage for Rytary because I haven't & I have been working on it since March. One more question~~I have never been given Sinemet CR. When I asked my neuro about it, she said "It sucks!". Has anyone tried it & what do you think of it? Thanks, Brenda

My problem with SInemet CR was a difference between different generics. I forget which was which but the "pink" one worked great but the "silver/grey" one caused me all sort of problems. I was going to ask the doctor to push for the name brand when he suggested Rytary. I'm still on the fence. I thought I had the dose/schedule down and then I had the weekend from hell...

You still doing the the Happy Dance? Because the FDA needs review the Drug more. I just saying for myself, I have hard hitting Dyskinesia on my off time. I have had Parkinson’s for 13 years taking generic Carb/Levodopa.And my off time wasn’t that bad.
