Hi cybersue. Please tell, me, did you notice any benefit after starting to take the Entacapone? IF not, I would strongly recommend that you stop taking it. No Pd medication does anything to slow down or stop the progression of Pd. They only attempt to hide one or two of the symptoms for a short while. If you don't take any Pd medication, your Pd will not progress any differently.

The only way I know of to reverse the effects of Pd is to do fast walking. You may not think you are capable of doing fast walking but most of us are capable of walking as fast as we are able for even one minute. If we do that every second day, we will soon find that we are able to do it for much longer. Eventually you will find that you are able to walk as fast as you can for one hour, every second day. Many of the people I speak to at Pd support group meetings, have found that they are now able to walk fast for various lengths of time and are regaining their strength. I have several people, who now have even stopped taking medication and who could no longer be diagnosed with Pd, by just looking at them. This has taken many years to achieve, but that is better than going downhill, while hoping that there will soon be a medication on the market that will reverse the symptoms of Pd.

If you want to know more about this, then visit my website, reverseparkinsons.net and read up about many ways of helping yourself to get better.

I found that when riding my bike. Great feeling until I hit something. (But you have to see the humour). Thanks

Hi cybersue. There are a few articles on cycling on my website. Some patients have said that they are Pd-free, when they get onto their bike. How that can be, I don't know. Have a nice weekend.

I don't know about entacomb, but I do know thy when I was prescribed with sinemet troops the first time, I was fine & then it started making me so sick I'd have to lie down & usually vomit,,one w./e my husband. & I took a trip. I forgot my pills so we used some old ones we carried in the car for emergencies. I didn't have s problem all w/e. When we got home. & I started taking my regular pills, I got sick again. The pills looked exactly alike but on further inspection. I found that the pills that. Made me si k were Tiva brand & the ones that didn't were Mylan brand. My neurologist hadn 't heard of anyone else having that probiem, but it has certainly made a Hugh difference in my life .

The use of amatadine has stopped the dyskenias.

Please ignore the word troops in line 2 -. Sorry

Are you taking it alone? I take it in Stalevo as it helps the absorption of LDopa. I have not experienced any nausea taking it.
