Neupro patch

Has anyone taken NEUPRO patch and not have it work? I've been on it for 2 months up to 6 milligrams and I feel no difference. I even have gotten worse since I started. How many milligrams are people using? And is it working? I'm also taking sinimet 25/100 4x day.

hi.....i was on the neupro patch for a few years 4mg and it was fine helped me immediately move more freely, less stiffness . but after a few years i began to fall asleep even in company and just wake up as quick talking about something completely unrelated. also started to see shadows at either side of me enough to make me turn as if someone there. i mentioned it casually on one of my hospital visits and they took me off it straight away. apparantly it can give these side effects....im on the slow release requip and stalevo now. doing ok but miss the neupro. thats when i could keep it on the adhesive isnt great and more times then not id find i had put two on on the same day or forgot to take the previous one off......

I've been on neupro for about 3 months and although it works well I've had a big deterioration in walking - strange the symptoms you describe you ended up with are identicial to some of the symptoms I had with Requip. Plus I am having a hell of a problem with skin reaction to the patches.

I am also waiting to start on stalevo if I can ever get a Doctor to confirm whether I can or can't - see my other rant for details

I have also had a fast deterioration with walking on my off times.

Went up to 8 mg. It was very expensive and i told my dr.I was stopping it. It did not work for me. Why waste time and money.

I recently came off Requip at max dose and onto Neupro - the side effects of 6 years on Requip 3.1/2 at 24 mg turned me into a compulsive zombie spending 1/2 my time on another planet. I am on Neupro and have regained by faculties of concentration - I can now do some of the consulting work I do , without too much worry of writing gobble-de-gook

Downside - my motor function particularly walking and posture has done downhill at a rare rate. I am waiting for confirmation that a recent Liver Function Test was OK before I start using Stalvelo in place of sinamet in an attempt to get an improvement

Can anyone believe I have now been waiting 11 days for a local Doctor to verify whether or not I can start taking the replacement - problem is my GP is on holiday until 28th and everyone else looks to be avoiding anything to do with it - it which case I will have spent July struggling and suffering un-necessarily when in all probability the results are OK

And then the medical professions get upset when they ask me how I feel and I reply ABANDONED

Can any one tell me my meds all of a sudden are not working as well ??

I am on the 6 mg patch & it seems to be the glue that keeps all the rest running smooth. The days w/out are rough no smothness. The meds. do not last long w/out it.
