Nearly gone mad with pain and burning in ... - Cure Parkinson's
Nearly gone mad with pain and burning in my feet any help on this please can't walk
I found that this is a sign my meds needed increasing, only more sinemet seems to help. Amitryptiline at night low dose also helped me.
I had the same thing plus ankle swelling while on Mirapex. I was switched to Sinemet and the bad symptoms ceased.
if you are diabetic then control the BSL AND you can take [1] tab duloxetine 30mg 1 daily and [2] tab calcium pantothenate 50mg tds for [1] you have to consult ur dr. you can read about it on internet also .
I find that regular stretching of my feet and ankles prevents it from escalating. I also stretch my toes while pulling lightly. Sometimes lying face down on the bed and bending my knees to a right angle I point my toes down toward the bed.
Providing your foot pain problem is like my own, I would follow my Podiatrist's recommendation of always wearing shoes while walking on hard surfaces.
I do all you mentioned, but also use socks to sleep in and put my feet on a hot. Pad when bad.
Get tested for Lymes disease that is a symptom I had when the PD first started, and it was nerve damge due to Lymes disease.
Sounds like neuropathy, which often has a burning sensation.Check out with your doctors, and get tested for blood sugar levels, and dietary deficiencies such as B12 etc., your doctor should be able to help but it is good to find the cause of this, as it may not be a PD symptom, and there are several PD symptoms that are common to ther conditions.
same symptoms of my son (non-PWP) and was diagnosed as diabetic neuropathy.
large doses of B-12 under the tongue, i can't live without B-12 calms me down...too
Exercise. Water. Take shoes off where possible. Clean your feet several times a day.
It's a difficult symptom.
I'm in Ireland too!
