i got through appt for ekg next is mri soon dbs any advice for staying strong? please advice me . thanks
hi salon...i am afraid i dont know much about dbs only from what people say who have had it. all good i might add. but i just wanted to say that if it helps i and i'm sure other members will be here for you every step of the way to listen, to encourage and to keep you strong. whether it be by prayers, humour or cross words to keep you motivated....it must be very frightening to step into unknown territory but like any operation you just have to keep focussed. as the saying goes 'feel the fear and do it anyway' i think thats all any of us can do...and look forward to a better quality of life for yourself.

I had DBS surgery 14 months ago. It was all good. I turned everything over to God and He gave De. Metzger and his team guidance for a successful operation. My theme song was the Doors "Break On Through To The Other Side." Good Luck.

I was in and out of consciousness. I remember when asked how my PD was with my left hand and arm. It was more flexible and not rigid.
