Further to my previous question, how do you get to the Newsfeed screen from this screen?

When you say news screen is that the latest activity screen? That comes up when I log on. It is the home screen. On the purple bar you can tap on questions, posts, polls etc to move screens and respond to items. Hope this is helpful, not sure if it is what you are asking?

I'm not sure if I will just cause more confusion Idq. You ask how to respond to my post above right?

I dont believe you can respond directly from the newsfeed page. i agree it is confusing because sometimes I get the the purple tool bar and can move to posts or questions by tapping it. Othertimes the tool bar doesn't appear and i tap on the item name which is highlighted and it takes me to the item.

From here read the post and reply at the bottom by tapping on the reply to this.

To return to the newsfeed I tap on home on the green banner. To get to the home screen with similar info to the newsfeed page i tap on the home icon on the purple banner.

But I'm still trying to figure it out. I am frustrated at times too.
