My husband is trying very hard to keep his independence. Please help us in giving us suggestions to make it easier for him to put on his socks. Thanks!! :-)

I have found the easiest sox to put on are the Cotton/ Lycra mixture they just seem to glide on so easy. They are cheap too at three pairs for a £1 in poundland

warm and comfortable to wear too.

contact a medical supply store - they have a tool called a sock puller - it something like one of the grip extenders but it grabs the sock and you can pull the sock up

I just checked ebay and entered the search term 'sock puller'. Several products were listed which would appear to do the job.

It isn't fun losing one's independence and the worst moment for me was when I had to give up driving. Having to get my husband to do up my bra was a doddle in comparison. Get your man to let you put on his socks and make it a chance to get close and have a quick kiss and cuddle! ( Or a long one it you like!)

I purchased a sock aid from Amazon. I put my sock over the tool and then put my foot into the sock. Hope this helps. We're all in this together.
