Here is what I got when I googled No Inflammation diet. There is a lot more stuff on google if you want to look.
Developed by Andrew Weil, the Harvard-educated doctor and pioneer in the field of integrative medicine, this diet reflects Weil’s belief that certain foods cause or combat systemic inflammation. Unlike the redness or swelling that occurs when your body fights a chronic or low-grade infection, inflammation can lead to serious conditions like heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimer’s. Stress, environmental toxins, physical activity, and diet all play a role in one’s inflammatory state, Weil says. His diet aims to boost physical and mental health, provide a steady supply of energy, and reduce the risk of age-related diseases by serving up healthy fats, fiber-rich fruits and veggies, lots of water, and limited amounts of animal protein—except when it comes to oily fish.
Thank you for your prompt reply, idq1997. Do you have any personal experience with the diet related to Parkinson's progression?
I always try to follow a good diet - no bread, no sugar, no hydrogenated fats, etc. I am not officially a vegetarian, but for practical purposes I am a lacto-ovo vegetarian in that I eat cheese and eggs but not meat. Although many say you should avoid dairy, I eat a lot of cheese, eggs and plain unflavored, unsweetened yogurt. However, I do not drink homogenized milk. I am trying to curb the progression of the disease without using prescription drugs. I take large amounts of CoQ10, fish oil, follow a healthy diet and exercise as much as I can. It seems to me that I am getting a little bit better, certainly no worse.
Best diet is veggie-no sugar no dairy, no gluten for us; hard to keep to in practice!
I was just reading about a vegetarian omega-3 oil that has all the goodies of fist oil without any fish. If is Biotivia Green Omega-3 Vegetarian Capsules. This night be worth investigating.
