This is beautiful!
If you don't mind my asking, what typical parkie activity are you referring to in that painting of yours? The painting is pretty good, though..
I'm in the same boat as JanellenGrimaldi, I'm sorry but I'm missing something, what is the typical P.D. activity, have you heard about the King with no clothes?
Joealt: What makes you so tired? With my PD, I find that I can't sit still. Though when I was depressed after my diagnosis, I did sleep a lot---because of the depression. I felt that my life as a musician (I'm a violist), was over. But it is not after all. I can still play, even though the bow arm is even more of a challenge than ever. Bow control is always problematic with string players anyway.. I see you produce some nice artwork. Do you have a tremor with your PD? Mine is in my right hand and I am right -handed!!! It is a challenge to write and type at times. But I find that the more relaxed I am, the better it is. I try to steady my breathing through a lot of patience and practice...
I'm left handed with right hand morning tremor. I love to paint but I haven't done a painting since last September. The title of the painting is "September 12th". The painting is of a sunrise, painted as a reminder that there was still life after the infamous 9/11 Attacks.
Hello! I, too, am a musician...a degreed organist. I was diagnosed when I realized I could no longer play a right handed trill. In fact, my entire right side is effected, so pedaling became difficult as well. The toughest decision so far was to give up a long-time position as church organist. Fortunately, I am still able to teach as a music specialist in an elementary school. And, singing in the choir I once accompanied has become an enjoyable diversion. Adjustments to medications have given back enough dexterity that I can occasionally play as a substitute. Now, the issue is stamina and stress!
You are fortunate that you are left-handed with a right -hand tremor. Anyway..Please post your last painting..the "September 12th"..would love to see it!! Reminder to us Parkies: There is life after PD diagnosis!
