Hello, I’ve recently been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and I am due to start taking Enbrel in a couple of weeks. Can anyone tell me how quickly the medication started helping?

It varies according to how aggressive the RA is (moderate, severe) and other factors. It may not work at all. I hope it does! It worked for me for about a year. Good Luck! Everything is gonna be fine!

I started Humira some years ago. It is similar to Enbrel in that it is a tnf blocker. For me it began to work within days. The first thing I noticed was my fatigue lifting, followed by joint improvement over the next few months. Starting a biologic has been life changing for me. I hope you have the same results. The odds are in your favor. My rheumy says it helps 8 out of ten of his patients. If I could also suggest light strengthing with yoga. You tube has tons of free videos you can do in the comfort of your home. Do only the exercises you can and listen to your body. It has really helped with my morning stiffness and for me the results last all day. Consistency is key. My body knows when I skip a quick 20 minutes of stretching. Wishing you all the best. Think happy thoughts. Better days are coming.
