Side and back rib pain

Does anyone get back rib pain during the night? Several days a week, I have to get out of bed because it's so uncomfortable. Mostly when I sleep on my side. I know RA causes inflamation around the ribs, but this usually goes away when I'm up and around.

Yes, I have had something similar for the past 5 years. It starts at my breastbone, and follows my ribs around to my back. Always sleeping on my side. Starts suddenly with severe pain. MD feels could be nerve pain triggered by thoracic spine. Will be getting injections in future to see if helpful. I hope you will find what works to find your comfort level.

Yes. It’s one of my worst and regular symptoms. My entire rib cage is inflamed most of the time and when sleeping it’s terrible. Makes breathing painful.
