Does anyone have problems getting support from their family members? Mine love to do sports that I can't do.

Family Support
Me!!!! My daughters who are grown and have children of their own, but do not live near me, are incredibly supportive...mainly via phone and FaceTime. My oldest daughter,42, has RA + and has been on Embrel for 3 yrs. So she was supportive and knowledgable. And then there's my husband of 42 years. In the 6 months since I was diagnosed he has had little if anything positive to say. He has not gone to Rheumy appts. Not read about RA. Have had many ailments over the yrs and he said he's had enough of it. So no empathy there. Makes me very sad. Find support where you can and be good to yourself!!!!
Get support from RA patients who can understand us will be the best though they cannot do much for us on day to day things. At least they listen and understanding.
Yes, my Dad supports me by helping me do yard work sometimes and he let's me stay over at his place when I have surgery, but none of my family educates themselves about what athritis is & how it can affect me. Also, though I've had arthritis for 6 years and then again for 30 more years they have never come to an Arthritis Walk with me. I almost always go alone & that hurts.
