What steps have you decided to take, to improve your concentration?

If You Tell Yourself I Need To Improve Concentration, that is inner dialect which says I don't concentrate. Its like when your nervous telling yourself to calm down, instead say "I am Calm. I am Centered. I Can Focus/Concentrate." The world is gonna be there to be mean to you, be nice to you, And Take That Deep Breath!

A good concentration meditation exercise is to lightly dim room lights, use mat, or your usual equipment and positioning, place a small votive candle about a foot and a half in front of you. Should be farther than you could reach sitting strait up. Using a glass candle holder, stare into the flame without straining your eyes.

when you feel comfortable, gently lower eye lids. The Image of the Flame will be available to you.

The purpose of the exercise is to pull the image clearly, and it is really difficult, hold the flame still in your mind. Be at peace with the small flame, hold it steady with your eyes closed, for as long as possible.

It'll take practice, but its pretty neat.
