Oh dear. Are you receiving treatment for this ?

Acupuncture at the moment, my doctor wasn't interested

Oh gosh... not helpful. I know with an injury I had, my Sport's Physio saved the day. There is a lot of information about this condition, on the net, and the type of shoes which help the problem, including Met pads?

Yes think I might try to find a spot physio

A registered Sports Physio could be your best bet at this stage, definitely.

I certainly dont know much about this condition but a good sports physio as recommended by Oldfloss is certainly a great place to start .I found a good one near me when I was doing C25K and he also happens to be an extreme marathon runner .

He is worth his weight in gold !

Best wishes !

Hi Libby, I have Morton’s neuroma too so I sympathise. I had mine operated on in both feet 30 years ago. All good until it came back in my right foot only about a year ago. Go onto YouTube and search on it, there are some simple exercises on there that claim to help, and people seem to confirm that in the comments section. I’ve just started doing them so a bit early to tell, but seems to get it to “settle back down” when I have a flare up.

Hi Libby, I wear toe spacers with crocs when at home. The spacers provide relief from the compressed nerve in the foot, and the crocs are wide enough to let the foot splay properly. The spacers I use are very expensive but have worked for me. Google 'correct toes' and Dr Ray McClanahan. He is an American podiatrist/runner. Hope you find relief soon.

Will give it ago thank you....... what do you do rest of the time? If you are going out for example?? 😁

I wear shoes which are not too 'pointy/narrow'. Basically spend my life in trainers and crocs and support flipflops. Fortunately, I can wear black trainers at work. I can tolerate dress shoes or boots for a few hours. I appreciate this may be unwelcome news if you are a shoe fan 😪. Wishing you a very speedy recovery 💐.

Have you tried gell pads? Helped me until I had an operation to remove it and no pain since .... touch wood.

Yes but they make my feet sweat.....

Hi Libby1962, I think I had Morton's neuroma. I used to get strong shooting pains coming from between my toes. My doctor also wasn't interested. I got rid of all my tight shoes and now only wear shoes that allow my toes a lot of wiggle room (foot shaped shoes, my going out shoes are duckfeet or conkers) and I also now choose foot shaped trainers. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 it hasn't troubled me for years now. I hope you find a solution.
