Week 4. I’m still nervous someone I know will catch me running and point whilst laughing

I used to worry about that kind of thing because I’m very slow. Then I decided that people would just have to think that I was gently warming up! - They weren’t going to follow me and discover otherwise. There are so many runners out there of all ages, shapes and sizes that you are likely to be far more “invisible” than you realise. Many runners go out near my home and the only one that I really notice is the chap who wears neon orange all over! 😀

Well done on getting to week 4 😊 I’m sure they won’t laugh! But if they do just keep going and you will have the last laugh in the end 😊

What's the worst that can happen? You will be on such a high when you finish that any feelings of embarrassment will be knocked out the park anyway! Head down and crack on. W4 😱😱 you're doing great! Don't give up now 👊

Those are my mental challenges but it’s getting better and agree with Elfe5 as lots of runners out there putting one foot in front of another( slowly!)with their own challenges doing it for themselves or their loved ones so keep going!! 🏃‍♂️😀

Thanks all! Don’t get me wrong, it’s just an amusing thought that passes quickly through my mind. I wonder at which point (which week / run), I’ll feel a bonafide runner though.
