Amazon knocked on the door and delivered my new treat....... just because I'm a runner!
Nooshoos!: Amazon knocked on the door and... - Couch to 5K
Nooshoos!
Oooooh they look like Brooks Adrenalines to me. Lovely shoes. I actually coo over trainers now. I used to hate the ruddy things in my previous life!
I am running in Brooks Glycerine and loving em. Proper comfy! My trails shoes are Brooks and I hiked in them yesterday and they were fab.
So, when you putting them to work then?
I already have a pair of Adrenaline GTS 15s, and they feel great. I'm lucky to have landed on such a good match to me. When I went to the running shop they did my gait analysis, found I over pronate (I have very flat feet) and gave me several pairs to try. I knew nothing about running shoes, just picked the Brooks because they felt best.
Silly to try different ones, I thought. They got very wet a couple of weeks ago, and I realised I really ought to have another pair - in case the first were not wearable, and to overlap the lives of a couple of pairs. The first have done about 300km so far - almost half way through their life. I wanted a different colour, and wanted to give the shop my business, but they could only offer the same colour I have. Didn't want two identical pairs!
So it was Amazon. The colour is satsuma!
That was very nice of Amazon.
I tried those on in the shop a couple of months back and they did feel super-comfy but I could never have bought them because of running style issues . They are wonderfully garish (a big plus for me) but I find the styling to be a little bit 'busy'.
What do you mean "running style issues" Dunder?
The opposite to the Adrenaline is the Glycerine, which I run in. I got last year's model as it was cheaper
Ah. I see
I have some lower drop for my racing but I can't say I'm keen on em for my normal runs. I feel flat footed in them. I tend to run on my forefoot most of the time though and I don't think my heel touches the ground hardly at all. No wonder I get bad knees
Yeah it's strange because I have a very tippy-toe style too but with a flatter trajectory. With the higher drop shoes I was wearing initially this had a jarring effect. Fair dues to the physio though he saw/measured all of that going on with just a few minutes on the treadmill and his suggestions really did the trick.
They are pure sunshine on your feet!!
I love those colours! Am hoping for nuce colours as and when i buy new ones. Just started my practical research, but the shop didn't have these Brooks in my size, so I have to visit some others to try them. Happy running.
Ooh hadn't seen that colour way before. I am a big fan of my Brooks Adrenalines. Mine are black with orange and purple. A few months ago I would have laughed at the suggestion that I would get all excited by running shoes. Hope you enjoy them.
Looking great! And Vix is right - pure sunshine!
pretty
Lovely - the colour of a tequila sunrise...
nice! I am a big fan of my Brooks, so so comfortable!
