done wk5 & seem to be sticking with it, thought now's the time to buy some trainers (used 2nd hand so far!) Any tips? Best value/quality??

Hi, it depends on your gait. Best to get a gait analysis and recommendations from a sports shop. I've tried a few different shoes for my gait and personally my favourite brand are Sauconys.

Other factors to consider apart from gait are type of surface: eg trail running v road running, distance you want to run &

Go and get your gait analysed, and buy what you're told would be my recommendation! Mine are Mizuno (I think that's how you spell it) and after having my gait analysed in an independent running shop (I emailed ahead to make sure the shop would be empty I was so embarrassed!) I was given the choice of, er , one pair. I was having trouble with painful knees at the time, and haven't had any trouble since. It's worth it. Good luck with it all!

I think a dedicated running shop should be the place to head for where they should have lots of choices for you to try on after you've had your gait analysed. You need to try them on to make sure they fit properly. Apparently there's one called Runability near your

I recently bought some reebok pheehan run from sports direct for £31.99 they are comfy to run in compared to my converse :)

well done and now s the time to get your feet looked at sweatshop is very good for this there maybe one near you ,get the right shoes that r good for you enjoy the running great job

Definitely agree with gait analysis and going to a dedicated running shop. I went to Up and Running (don't know if there is one near you) and found them very good. Enjoy your new running shoes when you get them. Good luck. Best wishes.
