Week 2 repeated and achieved - properly. Quietly chuffed! But also huffed and puffed due to poor breathing technique!

Any tips would be appreciated as Week 3 starts on Monday!

I really wouldn't worry about breathing. Just do what comes naturally. You can refine technique down the line. Concentrate on getting round and listening to Laura. She will get you round if you do what she says

Happy running

Thanks this makes good sense.

I agree with misswobble, I have huffed and puffed (still do sometimes) but when I try some sort of technique I seem to get worse. Over the weeks things have improved without me really trying so I wouldn't worry too much at the moment. x

Got to agree with the others re breathing - as soon as I tried to do what Lara said re breathing, I was all over the place, where as I had been managing fine before.

Thank you for that! I'll keep doing what I do and eventually capacity should improve and settle down.

I tend to let my breathing sort itself out as focusing on too many techniques at once can complicate matters and cause problems. I like to keep it straightforward. Good luck with week 3. Best wishes.

It took me til week 6-7 to get my breathing right. Even now, it takes me a good five minutes to get into a rhythm and then I'm okay. I think Laura covers breathing in one of the podcasts. If you find you're out of breath you're going too fast, slow down and keep to a speed where you can have a conversation. Speed can come later.
