I'm also on week 6 couch25k,and want to do strength and flex.No access to bar but have a gym.Wonder if rowing machine would be good

I think rowing machine would be excellent, anything that's low impact should be ok.

Check and see if your gym has TRX, its wicked and really works the upper body. I found rowing was good but if I did too much my knees started to complain as there is a lot of bending and straightening involved. Cycling is another you could throw into a mix and any exercise class but would keep it low impact. Body Pump, BLT, Bokwa etc. Best of all though is swimming, it helps greatly with the breathing when you run. Good luck.
