Except that there are no shower facilities at work..
Morning run with Bessie (my Labrador) in the forest, fresh air and easy on the legs.
wish I was back running . hurt my knee and now chomping at the bit π
Prefer the morning but shift work can scupper that sometimes.
I like to run with the sunrise...
Looks like mornings are best when the pain threashhold is at its highest and the brain is still asleep.
Donβt often get the chance to run early due to work commitments, but I do when I can.
I like to mix my times so that whenever I enter an event I know how to prepare according to the start time π
Iβve tried running later in the day but always seem to get a stitch, regardless of how long Iβve left it after eating... so always morning for me!
I wait until my youngest is in bed!
At lunchtime and on an empty stomach
And on an empty stomach
Tried the evenings a few times, but Iβve always had my best runs in the mornings. Means I can go home for brekkie! ππ
Despite not being a morning person, in the hot weather I have gone early morning because it is too hot at any other time, but will revert to evening when it cools down.
Iβm usually out at 5am when nobody else is around and the sun is coming up...glorious, as long as itβs not raining!
I run in the morning
1. So I know I can fit it in (irregular hours)
2. Think itβs a confidence thing - being out when itβs bust and people seeing me !! Daft I know x
Kids in bed, then I'm FREE!!!
Early morning run with the sunrise.
Morning or evening or afternoon...whenever I see the opportunity...and hopefully not too hot!πxx
Evenings during the week as not an early riser. However at weekends when have mire time prefer mornings to get things out of the way!
When not on holiday I have to fit in runs when I can - but whenever they always feel like a gift.
First thing before breakfast. I find as long as I stretch well, then I don't get any pains or stitch.
Late as possible as there are less people about
It varies according to what else Iβve got on. Tends to be mornings on a weekend
Not too many people about but got rumbled on the way back from my run this morning by a neighbour ππ
I so wish that I could run in the mornings, but I am absolutely useless, I even unintentionally put orange juice in my coffee in my dozen state , so thereβs not a hope in hell that could I coordinate running π
Not saying that the "I feel
great for the rest of day" is absolutely spot on but it certainly makes the run easier
Has to be first thing in the morning for me so that I don't come up with millions of excuses for not running.
I prefer running in the morning but on work days I have to do evenings, I definitely run better the morning.
Definitely in the morning, though thatβs more because I like to tackle it when Iβm fresh rather than slightly dread having to do it when Iβm knackered after work ; ))
Its a great feeling to be 5 or 6 hundred calories ahead of the game before breakfast!
I run better in the morning but end up almost falling asleep at my desk by lunch time !
Tend to run in the morning when at home and in the evening when away on business, but the next few weeks will be away but run mid morning (on hotel treadmill) complicated isn't it!
I run in the evenings after work. On days off Iβd love to run in the morning but as I run with my son I canβt get him out of bed before lunchtime
First thing before breakfast too. I try to be out and warming up before the brain fully wakes up and realizes what I'm about to do.
I run when I can 3 times a week. Prefer morning as I seem to have more energy then but I can't run before work! Like to lie in too much!
I have found I have so little energy to run straight after waking up? I've done it a few times and after 10/15 minutes I'm so tired. Whereas, in the evenings (even after a long day of working on my feet) I can run comfortably for at least 25-30 minutes!
Generally after work in the early evening between 5 and 7pm, but typically earlier in the day at weekends or on days-off in the week. I don't need to clear my head after work as I don't have a stressful job, but I do enjoy listening to music or live radio - music or sport stations, during my short runs. Now that I have renewed my phone battery I' m hoping to be able to use one or two apps AND listen to music for the whole of my run, go me! Ha.
most of my runs have been after work, I work 8-4 so works out a good time and its good for planning ahead
I prefer running in the morning but as I have registered for a HM that starts at 12.30 I am now doing some of my training at 12.30 just to get in the swing of it. As the weather is cooler it's not so bad.
I prefer the morning and have been running between around 8am now it's a bit cooler. I am going back to work tomorrow after the summer off and work 3 days a week and wouldn't have time to run/ shower etc without getting up at an unearthly hour which I don't fancy during the winter. That means I will run Monday/ Tuesday morning, one evening and then Saturday Park Run. Haven't run in the evening for 2 months so will see how that goes! It may be my short run of the week!
I would go every morning but I couldnβt fit it in with work commitments. More energy in a morning
Would prefer mornings but have to fit it in with work n children, not always easy
I like early morning or about 7.30 in the evening
Due to my schedule, I can't commit to running at a set time. So I've done my runs at different times till date......but early morning runs are by far my favourite.....as it gives me a that "happy runner's high" to tackle whatever the rest of the day throws at me!!!π
I like mornings, anytime, as it wakes me up and leaves me feeling energised for the rest of the day. It's great for stimulating the old grey matter!
Morning for me the bulk of c25 was done in the evening but early morning runs seem physically easier
Always early morning, sometimes before 05:00 if I am working. Less traffic , less people, plus if it was a good one you have hours to enjoy the feeling π€
I go in the early morning (5.15 or thereabouts) or between 7-8 if on a weekend. Noticing the slightly darker mornings now. Not done many evening runs - too tired after work and rushing around with mum things to do!
Definitely morning, the earlier the better. Others think Iβm nuts setting my alarm at 5am but there is something wonderful about that time of day, the chance to watch the sunrise, plus itβs cooler and no midges. Alas pushed back to 6am runs as donβt like running that early in the dark!
Generally go after doing the school run but as kids are off, been going at night when they're in bed
Not before 0900 for me. I find my body needs to be moving around for an hour or so before I go running.
Would prefer to run in the mornings but don't have time in the week, so Saturday Park Run is a treat π
Always run in the morning and come home starving
Definitely in the evening - I started c25k in the hot spell so evenings a bit cooler. Not sure how I will fit in 3 runs a week when it's dark?
My running time is determined by work, family commitments and after toilet visits. The joys of running with Crohns!
Running first thing in the morning helps me be the best person I can be for the rest of the day!!
I like to run about 6:30am π
Evening time between 7 and 9
Definitely in the morning, around sunrise, if I can manage to get up.
