hi sounds like youre having a tough time! I would definatly speak to your dr or stoma nurse about this. What could be happening is thay because you have alot of output you are getting dehydrated and thats making you feel sick. This happened to me twice and landed me in hospital both times. You can get tablets to help slow down your stomach so that you get thicker and not as much output so it might be worth asking your dr about that. Make sure you keep having little sips of water often, and just eat anything that you might fancy but just little amounts. hope ive helped! x
You should observe carefully your eating against your output. This way you can have a perfect balance. Its best to spread your meals in three hour intervals ! This is the ideal way of eating, as the latest research states, even for ordinary people who have no stoma ! You should also notice that carbohydrates, like pasta and bread take a longer time to be discharged by the stoma. This way, I have managed to eat plenty of vegetables, mixed with carbohydrates.
Hi there, I work for the charity Ostomy Lifestyle and would like to help you if we are able. We have a helpline that helps anyone affected by stoma surgery. Have you seen a doctor and or a stoma nurse regarding the problem that you are experiencing? I am thinking that maybe your sickness and the stoma output may not be related and therefor getting this checked out would be advisable. Although you are having an increased amount of output is it watery? What was the reason for your stoma surgery? please I hope we can help you just some more information would be great
