Dark urine first thing in the morning is perfectly normal, as it is more concentrated. If it's cloudy or has any 'bits' in it, this is a different matter and needs checking out.

dark urine basically means that your urine is too concenetrated, you should drink a bit more overnight. As others say, if any other changes, if it is not clear in tone, best to see a doctor.
