I found out I had stage 4 osteoarthritis a few years ago when I had a mri scan ( thought the pain was torn cartilage). I now have it in my fingers, the most frustrating part is trying to open things. I joined cloudy with a chance of pain and have definitely seen a connection with the weather.

Could you please explain what stage 4 OA is? I was diagnosed with OA years ago but have never heard of it in stages before.
Hope the pain level on the low side today 🐸
Outerbridge classified articular cartilage damage based on the arthroscopic findings in patients affected with osteoarthritis.[8] The 4 grades are as follows:
Grade I – Softening and swelling
Grade II – Fragmentation and fissuring of less than 0.5 inches
Grade III – Fragmentation and fissuring of greater than 0.5 inches
Grade IV – Erosion down to the subchondral bone
Hi E_k1958 , tell us more about the connections you've spotted between weather and your pain symptoms. Thanks for taking part in the study.
I have been regularly filling in my survey and can definitely see a link to certain types of weather and changes in pressure. Cold and damp seem to make it worse.
