Cluster of Differentiation (CD) 57 is related to the NK cells as well as is important in detecting Lyme Disease.

Is your level given or just the fact of its existence?

So no problem, I'd assume. You have the normal amount of mature NK cells in the CD57 cluster--and your immune system is the better for it. (my unprofessional assessment of what the medico lingo may mean--so don't bank on it, but read--slog through the lingo and you will be telling others what is what before you know it.)

The following site might be more helpful for you to know what NK cells do---and their relationship to our immune capabilities:

I know a little about CD57, having had Lyme. It's a subset of NK cells. Do you have the lab report showing the reference range? It's thought that Lyme, Mycoplasma, EBV can cause a low number. Mine was 40 (ref range 100-350) with Lyme. It hit 800 with CLL.

My B lymphocytes were also high...........a year after chemo and they're zero!!
