Cll and prediabetes anyone?

Anyone know if there is any connection between cll and prediabetes?

I too have pre- diabetes. I did find one study that showed that a very large percentage of people with CLL did have either diabetes or pre-diabetes. However there was no conclusion on which came first or if they were really related.

There was another study reported on here that people with pre- diabetes or diabetes had a worse prognosis with there CLL than those without either.

My blood sugar numbers went up significantly when I also started having CLL symptoms so I have antidotal evidence, yet my doc can’t site any studies that link the two.

I am working hard with a nutritionist on my pre- diabetes. It now is a bigger concern to me than the CLL. I figure the docs got the CLL issue, and I’ll work on the pre-diabetes issues with diet and exercise.

That is very interesting. Id love to see a link to the study if you have one.

I’m working on exercising, eating even better than I have been, stress reduction and will see if that all changes the numbers up at all.
