Hii...is night sweat a danger sign!? When it s... - CLL Support
Hii...is night sweat a danger sign!? When it should be considered an important issue? It sould be generalized?
It helps the oncologist stage you. It can mean lots of things...best to tell ur doc about any new symptoms. 💕
The latest iWCLL guidelines, published late 2017, states (with my emphasis) in section
4. Indications for Treatment
4.1. Primary Treatment Decisions
“Active disease” should be clearly documented to initiate therapy. At least one of the following criteria should be met:
:
:
(7) Disease-related symptoms as defined by any of the following:
:
(d) Night sweats for ≥ 1 month without evidence of infection.
Note the requirement for there to be at least one criteria - some are more important than others and a specialist may opt to observe for longer, rather than initiating treatment on just one indication, unless it clearly indicates that your CLL is becoming aggressive. Night sweats need to be truly drenching of your night attire - to the extent you need a change of night clothes or bedding, to be considered a true night sweat.

Keyvanlvl,
Night sweats can be a danger sign, however, Rai staging guidelines measure extreme or combined symptom influence relative to needing treatment.
What perspectively do you mean by night sweats.
Are they are consistent and reoccurring? Is it an annoyance similar to being in a hot humid climate or rather are you aggressively drenched and unable to sleep reasonably?
As AussieNeil points out the iWCLL guidelines is a source for good measure.

No it's not that severe...just like hot flushing and after that sweating...I don't need to change my clothes or sth...it's happening periodically, and I'm wondering that it's related to my cll or menopause
Not that it makes it any better but, with CLL, mild to moderate annoyances including night sweats are part of the cost of doing business.
Sorry, I know its a big deal when you are the one dealing with it. I slept with cold dampened cloths and dry towels next to me during my drip drama.

It is always a question that our cancer clinic asks my husband at every appointment....so I do think it is a significant symptom.
