HI T, That's an interesting question. I have developed sciatica over the last few months and although stretching, cycling and walking ease the discomfort at the rear end so to speak - I get pains in my groin area, when I'm sitting in certain positions or extending my legs, which it was suggested by my GP was likely to be sciatica. I have my regular three monthly clinic just in the new year - so will grill the Consultant as to whether the cause is linked to CLL and swollen lymph nodes. This is relevant as am feeling some lumpiness in that area - similar to my recollection of before treatment. It's probably my "paranoia". Although the lumpiness is more likely to be fatty deposits due to my inertia and changes in lifestyle!

By the way I had chemo throughout most of 2015 and have been in remission for a year now - great!

Hopefully in a few weeks I will be able to find out more.

Best wishes,

roger

If it has suddenly come on I would see your GP or phone your clinic for an appointment.

Hi Turtlephi

Your post is not locked to the community so will only ask If you have had a PSA blood test, be surprised if you have not, but worth asking the question.

Wow. I love this forum. Sometimes ya never would have thought some ailment would be related to another. Like Roger, i went through treatment in 2015. And about 6 months after I started having issues with my right sciatica. I was able to run, play soccer, stretch etc. But sitting or driving became very painful after 1 hour. Its almost 100 percent better but i still get soreness. The other thing i wondered though is i dropped 10 pounds during chemo even though my eating was normal. But after chemo, not only did it all come back on but i gained an additional 5 percent. So who knows, this could all be a combination of things. But since i no longer have any swollen lymph nodes, it could be the weight gain along with age (57) and post chemo effects that played with this nerve suddenly going wacko.
