Hi with a recent Lymphocyte count of 6 million... - CLL Support
Hi with a recent Lymphocyte count of 6 million is that within the normal range or just slightly elevated. Thanks David
cancerresearchuk.org/cancer... - its elevated, if you mean 6 x 10^9/L, the normal range for lymphocytes is 1.3 - 4 but could be caused by an infection of some sort and should be read in conjunction with the remainder of the blood results. If it 6 x 10^6/L then its well low.
The diagnosis of CLL is done by flow cytometry and it requires the presence of at least 5 X 10^9 B lymphocytes/L (5000/micoliter... or greater than 5 billion monoclonal B lymphocytes... per litre for a period of 3 months.
I think you may have a decimal in the wrong place...

This chart is quite useful too with the whole range of blood tests;

Have you had a definitive CLL diagnosis yet David or just slightly elevated lymphocyte levels as yet unexplained? Sorry just saw your post which appeared whilst I was typing.
Good luck with everything and hope the thyroid can be sorted.

The website has just been replaced and I'm not sure whether that chart was transferred. Check this video and see it it gives you the information you require:

I'm slowly working on an upgrade to the blood test result tracking workbook that will enable you to plot your own charts. Hopefully it will be available soon.
