I use an ... AirTamer ... same idea as the fresh air buddy ... but sorry, I couldn't tell you if there is a discount for CLL members.

I believe the company has changed hands... perhaps save your money...

Buy a supply of N95 particulate mask... if you are that concerned about airborne pathogens... they might filter out some pollen, bacteria and fungi... virus pass right through in most cases...

Make certain they fit tight and change them every couple of hours... they do offer protection from pathogens in water vapour like sneezes, speakers spray, coughs etc...

Thanks, guys. There seem to be a lot of air ionisers on the market though portables seem rather expensive. I am thinking of using this when travelling and when I see a series of rheumy students during the winter, so masks would not be very appropriate. Anyone else's opinions welcome!

I use AirTamer A300 when I am in busy public places etc ... there is now a AirTamer A302. I always take mine with me when I'm out and about.
